About Nerve Compass

Nerve Compass explains peripheral neuropathy to readers dealing with numbness, tingling, burning pain or balance problems in their hands and feet — whatever the cause: diabetes, chemotherapy, a vitamin deficiency, or no clear cause at all.

We started this site because most neuropathy information online is either written for clinicians, in language that is hard to act on, or written to sell a single product first and explain the condition second. We wanted a resource that starts with the reader’s actual question — “why do my feet feel like this, and what can I actually do” — and answers it honestly, including when the honest answer is “see a doctor.”

What We Cover

Diabetic, chemotherapy-induced and idiopathic neuropathy; symptoms and how the condition is diagnosed; pain relief options including medication, TENS units and topical creams; foot care; diet and supplements; safe exercise; sleep; and guidance on when a symptom stops being something to manage at home and becomes something for a doctor to see.

What This Site Is Not

Nerve Compass is an educational publication, not a medical practice. We do not diagnose, we do not replace your doctor, and we do not promise that any product — including ones we mention as affiliates — will cure or reverse nerve damage. See our Medical Disclaimer and Affiliate Disclosure for the specifics.
